This is a large private suite in an excellent location and established household occupied by active yet mature adults. Located in Montecito, this is a grand old estate full of history and charm, with 10+ bedrooms, huge common areas and 1.6 acres of grounds. The room can come furnished including a small counter, fridge and micro to aid in prep for small meals, in addition to the main kitchen. Or this can be provided empty for your own furnishings. A small pet can be considered, several are in the estate now. This suite may well be of interest to a business stay or student desiring an unusually quiet and secure rental situation. Or we are open to any inquiry situations. If interested to a student, a bus line picks up right at the gate, Line 14 to downtown. From the main terminal there are 4-5 buses running constantly up to SBCC. The 2-bus line trip is 20 min and 5 min each, with the stop being right in town and access to a huge superstore Ralphs across street from the terminal and all the stores, restaurants and attractions on and around State st. SBCC has 25k students and 2500 parking spaces, and the bus is the ideal way to attend (if you inquire as a student). The other occupants at the estate include an active 91 year old in from Tenn and has been there 3+ years. She adds southern hospitality to Thanksgiving and Christmas and worlds of advice. A 35 yo professional across the hall, a 68 yo single retired in next room, a disabled 36 yo downstairs (a stroke when he was 22), a late 50's hairdresser also downstairs and a 33 yo in from Ukraine working in Montecito in a small room in the ballroom, etc. Note: anyone may participate in house things or forever come and go in privacy. Everyone is welcome as they are the most comfortable, no obligations. Huge common areas with a shared wolf stove kitchen, large living room/dining room, entry parlor and a 2400 sf ballroom with a grand piano and pool table. This 1885 grand estate is 8500 sf of historic house. There is a forward courtyard with parking for up to 25 cars. All utilities are included in the rent, including wifi. There are rules and restrictions which help facilitate the sharing, the protection and the use of these extensive common areas, which include limits on guests and invitees.
