How the Value Score Works

Every listing on RoomRanker gets a Value Score from 0 to 100. The score reflects how much value you get for your money compared to similar rooms in the same city.

Price per Bedroom Lower price relative to local averages scores higher.

Amenities Parking, laundry, utilities included, A/C, and more boost the score.

Location Scores Walk Score, Transit Score, and Bike Score factor in walkability and access.

Completeness Listings with photos, full descriptions, and verified details rank higher.

70+ = Great Value

These are listings where the price, amenities, and location combine to offer significantly above-average value. They tend to get snapped up quickly.

We currently track listings across 84+ cities in the US, with new listings scraped and scored automatically every 15 minutes. Our cleanup system verifies that every listing is still live, so you rarely encounter dead links.
