This short term lease can’t provide the typical rights longer term renters enjoy, like conversion to a month to month tenancy after the initial period and gaining the right to remain. Here, when your lease is over, without an additional written agreement, you no longer live here or have access to the room you leased, and it is very possible someone else already does, similar to an Air-B-n-B sublet.
